Dr. Amin Sabzevari Veterinarian

Amin was born and raised in Iran, where he obtained his DVM degree in 2010 from Azad University. During his education, he worked at an industrial dairy farm as well as at a pet clinic. This experience gave him valuable insight into the life of a veterinarian. He enthusiastically participated in several clinical research projects on different species, which not only led to the publication of several articles in peer-reviewed journals but also helped him gain further experience in those specialty areas.

Amin moved to Canada in 2011. His diverse background and knowledge allowed him to begin working as a research assistant with laboratory animals at Toronto General Hospital.

To fine-tune his surgical skills, Amin traveled to India for three months to volunteer with the International Humane Society. He then completed the VSTEP (Veterinary Skills Enhancement Program) at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph. In 2015, he moved to Lethbridge, Alberta, where he worked at Family Pet Hospital & 24 Hr Pet Emergency Centre, a state-of-the-art facility, until 2018. This exposure to emergency medicine advanced his career, giving him the opportunity to work with cutting-edge diagnostics and therapeutic tools. In 2018, he decided to return to Richmond Hill to spend more time with family while working full-time at the local after-hours emergency hospital.

Amin joined us in the summer of 2024. When he is not working at Golf Glen Veterinary Clinic, he continues to practice in emergency clinics to stay current with emergency and critical care medicine.

In his spare time, Amin enjoys adventurous trips, jogging, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
