Dr. Lauren Sergejewich

Veterinarian

Lauren knew she wanted to become a veterinarian from a very young age. She grew up with a love of all animals and a keen interest in science. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2021 following three years of Animal Biology at the University of Guelph.

During her veterinary studies, she spent the summers working in research at the University. Although the research focused on respiratory disease in cattle, her passion continued to be small animal medicine. Lauren also spent 6 memorable weeks in South Africa with Global Vets working with wildlife on a game reserve.

Lauren thoroughly enjoys the variety that being a veterinarian has to offer. It provides a lifetime of learning, and no two days are ever the same. She loves making a difference in her patient and client’s lives. Her current interests include dermatology, surgery and nutrition.

When Lauren is not busy at work, she enjoys hiking with her miniature Goldendoodle Maggie, cooking and spending time at the cottage with the rest of her family.

Preventing and Treating Litter Box Issues

Using the litter box properly is one of the universal requirements that most cat owners have. When Kitty uses the box properly, it’s something that we don’t pay much attention to, besides the daily scooping. When there is a problem however, and Kitty has chosen a different location for his or her toileting needs, this can be a huge strain on the relationship that cats enjoy with their owners (and can result in relinquishment to a shelter or euthanasia).

Dear Clients,

Our team continues to be here for you and your cherished pets. We are OPEN and are now able to provide a wide range of services. Based on the current provincial changes, below are some important updates to our operating policies.

1. WE CAN NOW SEE ALL CASES BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

This includes vaccines, wellness exams, blood work, heartworm testing, spays and neuters, dental services, and more!

2. SAFETY MEASURES TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE

  • Continue our "closed waiting room" policy to protect our clients and staff. When you arrive, please remain outside the hospital and use your cell phone to call us. We will take a history of your pet's health and discuss any concerns. A staff member will then meet you outside to bring your pet into the hospital for an examination. The Veterinarian will call you to discuss the recommended treatment plan. After your appointment, a staff member will return your pet to you outside, and take care of any needed medications and payment.
  • Continue the use of credit cards as the preferred payment method.
  • Continue with curbside pickup of food and medication (unless you have used our online store and are having your order delivered directly to your home). To place an order through our online store, visit our website and click on "Online Store".
  • 3. OPERATING HOURS

We are OPEN with the following hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 am - 7:00 pm
    Saturday: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
    Sunday: Closed
Note: We are closed the Saturdays of long weekends.
